Loss of Words
A downloadable booklet
A playable zine on eight pages. Pick a letter, collect words, then deconstruct them until they are utterly destroyed. Then win them back.
I loved word games ever since I was a kid. I still play with my significant other how many words we can find, how big a word or how difficult or unexpected. This game is about quantity over quality of vocabulary, and is suited for all ages.
It's my first stapled zine game, and there is a PDf that prints spreads, which you can nest into each other and staple, or print single pages. Alternate black-on-white, printer-friendly covers are included. Finally, a plaintext file for those who find that mad scribbles are not so, um, readable rules.
Would love to hear back - which word took the longest to come back to you?
• Time: one hour
• Ages: 0+
• Content warning/Notes: it is allowed to switch to another word if the middle one is horrible.
