Showdown from Memory
A downloadable game
We've all been there – the PC meet the big bad and the dice rolling commences. Hours later, we're still here and the big bad is still mouthing off.
Personally, I love rolling the enemies down, but there are other ways to solve your cruel and violent fight to the metaphysical end. Presenting:
Showdown from Memory
A micro RPG that fits on a printable badge. Offer your enemy insults instead of punches and erode their smarts. If your table has enough people to make factions, all the better - band together and outwit the opposition, until one of you is left speechless and ergo, defeated.
- Full colour badge
- Printer-friendly b&w version
- text-only txt file
Obviously there is plenty that can go wrong here. I suggest using the Lines and Veils and /or X card methods to make sure everybody knows what they're getting into, and how to tap out. Have fun together!

oh my favorite thing to do is throw quotes and memes at my friends. This is amazing!
Memes would be harder to use but I guess if everyone at the table had enough tech they would be valid!
I'm horrible with quotes but this sounds so much fun!!
Some of the most famous quotes are actually misquotes. Like, Darth Vader never says "Luke, I am your father". Only has to be close enough to be recognisable!
This is a really clever idea. I have been pondering on this jam and haven't come up with anything yet, but I knew it was going to bring about some epic things. So glad to see your take on it! I love quotes, this sounds like a lot of fun to play. Having it on a pin would definitely invite spontaneous play. I imagine waiting in line for something at a con and someone reading the pin and striking up a playthrough.

That would be so cool. I had some of my most engaging conversations ever standing in line at a con somewhere, but not a "session" (putting in marks because we would likely be standing, not sitting) yet!
That would definitely make the waiting time go by nicely!

Excellent game! I am certain quite a few of my TV/movie-quote-loving friends who would be into it! :D
That's exactly the crowd I designed it for :D
