Skyward Sanctuary
Skyward Sanctuary
A text adventure played in the browser.
Features: Light and dark mode, plus custom colours. Can be read in English, oder kann auch auf deutsch gelesen werden.
Playtime: circa 40 - 60 minutes.
Age: 6+
Content Warning: This game mentions a hospital and has a child character too sick to play (without explaining in more detail), and involves a child character interacting with adults independently.
A relaxed text adventure for people who value their friends, and like treehouses. You can't lose, and you can't go wrong.
"The thing you and your friend Kat wish for most in the world, is a treehouse. Not one of those hanging only half a metre from the ground, or one of those dollhouses made by adults. But a real, small yet fantastic house, with a roof and windows, with shelves, and a quality ladder with no splinters, that you can draw up. Somewhere you can draw on the walls and make a mess until you feel like tidying up on your own.
Then Kat has to go to the hospital. She has often been there. This time, as Kat comes home, she is not supposed to go outside at all, or play wildly.
You believe that the best thing to do once Kat can go outside again is to visit the treehouse. Because you are, starting right now, going to build the dream treehouse for the two of you."

Are you self-taught by any chance? How long did it take you to make the art for this game? It took me longer than expected to make my latest small project Wingin' it!
Your art is stunning.
Thanks a lot. Yes, I am self-taught. I have however started over twenty years ago. This title illustration took me about three hours to finish. I do take commissions if you want art for your own projects.
I'll definitely keep that in mind. Do you charge by finished works or the hour? And have you had time to check my game "Wingin' it!"?
If this is only about advertising your own game, there are better ways to do it.I charge per piece.
Sorry if it came off that way! No, that wasn't my intention. I just wanted to know what you thought because you're very talented and have much more experience over me. There are a couple of projects I'm working on at the moment, and I'll definitely need help when it comes to UI and art in general.
Let me know when you are ready to do business then.
This was such a lovely and sweet text experience :') it gives me hope that I can show this to my friend who is well into her 80s and enjoys a meaningful story but would otherwise never try a text adventure.
I would consider it a gerat success to get an 80-year old into games with something I made! Thank you, I'm happy you liked it.
