Sleep Agent (Prototype)
A downloadable game for Windows
Prototype "warning"
This is the prototype version of an upcoming game. It has one meagre level, no character choices, and no difficulty modes. Also, no cat yet. It should work with gamepads.
The purpose of this publication is to judge the interest in a full game. We at Make it a Triple would be delighted to hear anything and everything you think about it. You know how hard it is for indie studios to do proper market research, find an audience, and bring the best possible game to you, so we welcome any help and input from you, our dear future players!
A reverse tower-defense arcade platformer
In "Sleep Agent", you are tasked to protect the sleep of your ward until dawn, using your tiny fists as well as your magic. Silence unruly alarms, muffle phones, and kick out the cat in a retro scifi inspired sci-fantasy setting, where you may be a mouse, but a mighty mouse for sure.
How to play
You are a small magical mouse-ish agent of the Sleep Bureau. Your ward - the sleeper - must sleep through the night (the level time), without waking up (indicated by the wake-o-meter above their head, filling up as they drift closer to being waking up). Move with arrow keys or WASD. Sprint by holding Left Shift. Jump by pressing up, W or Space. Drop through platforms with Down or S keys.
Different noise sources in this untidy room start playing at intervals.
Your job is to silence them before their impact on the wake-o-meter wakes up your ward. You do this by running up to the noise source and hitting it (press X). Their hitpoints are indicated as you defeat them. Enemies are NOT permanently defeated.
With many sources playing you may deploy your area of effect attack (press V). This has a cooldown (indicated by the meter at bottom left) and kills everything that is currently noisy.

Roadmap
Sleep Agent is not supposed to be an early access affair. The current version is for playtesting. However, several stages of playtesting are planned with different advancements implemented.
Next thing is to add ranged attacks and moving enemies. Obviously, there is a lot of graphics work to be done, but this does currently not take precedence over game mechanics.
How to give feedback
Is the game fun? Did something break? Are you missing something dramatic? What would it need to be more fun? Comment, email to hallo@triple-games.com, or join the Discord.
