We Trust No One
We Trust No One is a game where you must produce your credentials at a moment's notice. Or else. Know where all of them are?
Whenever one of those delightful, not at all murder-y looking security robots the company recently acquired in a great number steps over to you, there is no escape. They discovered the Zero Trust Policy during a TED talk from one of their biggest competitors, and all they heard was "trust nobody".
Like all of those higher-ups they did not understand this is EXACTLY what drives people to do what you are now doing:
Working with some hard to pronounce underground movement or maybe an agency, that may or not be foreign, and does not acknowledge its own existence, other than to deny its existence, and sends all sorts of very...interesting folks to help you occasionally or meet at some diner where they order odd things, and also deny their existence, but the important part is that they do not deny your existence, because you have come to doubt it and not think of yourself as a collection of IDs and passes and cards and references and reports and lanyards and briefcases...to do whatever harm you can to this company.
How to Play
You may have to feign actual work occasionally, but that's the easy part. The hard part is that guards will ask for your credentials OFTEN. They will also exchange your credentials from time to time. And they will put your credentials back onto your person. But not always in the order you produced them for the checkup. They do become very cross with you if you do not immediately produce your credentials. They get outright mad if you hand over the wrong one.
- remember where your credentials are
- move through the rooms with the arrows to reach your target
- solve bullshit tasks to make it through
- produce credentials when prompted
- do it fast, or be set back
- presenting the wrong credentials will get you thrown out
